ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Tatjana, but my friends call me Tats.
Welcome to That’s Tats, my little corner full of all things interiors that originated from my longing to create the most comfortable, well-functioning, and personal spaces, and hopefully help you to do the same.
After all I am absolutely obsessed with interiors and with creating happy places while repurposing personal treasures, or hunting for additions to the collection. Most importantly though, I love bringing a space to life to be enjoyed every day.
My love of interiors goes back a long time. Since I can remember, I have always been styling and rearranging my bedroom. When other kids loved to spend hours in toy stores, I simply loved walking through interiors shops, looking at all the various pieces of furniture, soft furnishings, accessories, ceramics…oh the ceramics, you can imagine what my pocket money was spent on. Then, in my late teens, I found myself renovating my parent’s kitchen. Without any prior experience or training, but with bags of enthusiasm and passion, I went from styling my own bedroom with images cut out of magazines and my little collection of styling objects, to planning, drawing, sourcing and building a full functioning and practical space, which has withstood the test of time and is still in use today.
Fast forward a few years, after moving countries, establishing a career in project management and operations, and renovating that perfect first property, a light filled 1960s mid-terrace, I decided it was time to dedicate more time to my personal passion. Thus, in 2018 I created my Instagram account @thats.tats where I started to share, talk, and immerse myself in all things interiors and styling. From here, I was eager to create a solid base for my knowledge and experience collected thus far, resulting in studying interior design and achieving my Diploma in Professional Interior Design.

Building on this foundation, I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery and creation of exciting, clever, and comfortable design, full of colour and nature, but without the need to cost the world or follow trends.
